 I hear what you are saying, Bruce, but I don't see this as an attempt to 
 be cool or cool enough. The camera above is not an SLR as the term has 
 become widely accepted throughout the industry and by hobbyist and Pro 
 photographers. 
  
 I have a Canon G-3, and in my mind, no way is it a DSLR. Yet, many of 
 the questions I might have to ask, or attempt to answer will be 
 appropriate in either group. Probably more questions than not will be 
 right on topic in either group. 
  
 Eric, I think the same will apply to your situation; you may read and 
 learn in both groups, you might prefer posting in one group vs. another 
 for whatever reason, but I think you'd find 90% of your questions will 
 fit in the new group- just not the ones debating what is or is not an 
 SLR. It has to have changeable lenses.
