 People's dollars can only reach so far.  After that, you've got to spend 
 a fair amount of time driving down lonely country highways looking for 
 cat families that are 'making' it, out in the near wilderness.

 I don't seem to remember any incidents where Sheriff Andy Griffith 
 helped euthanize any stray cats...  I wouldn't put it past him, but 
 I doubt that Andy Griffith was cast for that kind of a role...
