No, its not. It is true I cannot prove "purpose" beyond any doubt,
however, had I instead written "The early RFDs had a special
definition of slr with the effect of excluding cheap slrs", there
would be nothing for you to challenge. But considering "purpose" as a
conclusion, its a well supported conclusion.
