 Here are some possible topics:

Show events such as FIFE's world shows may require info about
location's need for vaccination, "cat friendly" lodgins,
 possible meeting places etc.

When someone is buying a kitten (for breeding) buyer probably wants
info from possible known heridary ailments. And "looking for" posts.

Pedigree postings: there are breed specific mail-lists that have
those but finding them and getting info is hard. Also for
some breeders some cat is "just" a pet whose owner doesn't
follow breed's maillist, but possible usenet-reader may
know and ask for list of offsprings.

Breed/health specific issues like: "should I breed with cat that has a
kink(sp? (tail))", "I've in one cat, should I try to inbreed",
"All males has my queen's gg-father in their pedigree, should I breed with
them?" and possible rumours (anon post) about hypocalemy etc. in
 particular cat's pedigree.
