| Subj: Bug#1114773: Regarding kernel panic whil |
XPost: linux.debian.bugs.dist From: krujwal15@gmail.com As per the above subject i faced this with my debian version 12.12, for my study purpose of testing, i needed to test my system with fips mode enabled, after editing grub i rebooted then i got kernel panic, later i edited the grub in bootloader and then went into the /etc/default/grub and then i changed the line from "quiet fips=1" to "quiet" then i saved it and then updated the grub and rebooted now kernel runs smoothly. But i didn't know why debian doesn't support fips mode if you share it with me it can be helpful, and also give information about how can be debian made fips friendly. Thankyou Rujwal |
