I'm not happy with the tone that Julian used which basically boiled down to "adapt or leave Debian" which I found rather inappropriate. And then ending his message with "Thank you for understanding" indicating that there won't be any room for any kind of discussion. I'm just wondering whether this is really the kind of dialog that we want to have in this community. I'm not against the adoption of Rust. In fact, I am one of the people that enabled Rust on many architectures both by bootstrapping it on new targets in Debian as well as fixing or helping to fix many architecture-specific bugs in the Rust toolchain or LLVM upstream.
