  Msg # 1038 of 1179 on ZZLI4422, Monday 10-05-25, 7:18
  From: MARC HABER

Subj: Bug#1117225: RFH: torrus -- Universal fr
 XPost: linux.debian.bugs.dist
 From: mh+debian-packages@zugschlus.de

 Package: wnpp
 Severity: normal
 X-Debbugs-Cc: torrus@packages.debian.org, debian-devel@lists.debian.org
 Control: affects -1 + src:torrus

I request assistance with maintaining the torrus package.

 The package description is:
Core part of the Torrus suite, providing support files needed by the
other Torrus packages. It can be installed directly and used with any
  FastCGI-compatible webserver package.
  .
Torrus is designed to be a universal front-end framework for
Round-Robin Databases using Tobias Oetiker's RRDtool. It may be configured
to collect and monitor arbitrary data series from various data
sources which can in turn be displayed on a web page.
  .
One of the traditional applications of this functionality is the collection
and visualization of network information using the Simple Network
 Management
  Protocol (SNMP) from SNMP-enabled devices.
  .
You will need to install libcrypt-des-perl and libdigest-hmac-perl for
 SNMPv3
support. SNMP over IPv6-transport is also supported after installing
  libio-socket-inet6-perl.
  .
Torrus has been formerly known as rrfw, round-robin database framework.

Torrus is in kind of maintenance-only update mode upstream for quite a
while now. The current version in git does start and collect, but the
apache integration throws an "internal server error" with a less than
 helpful error message.

Help by a person with more perl, perl-fpm and apache knowhow is
 appreciated.

I will have the package removed from unstable if the package stays in
the current shape until forky is released.

 Greetings
 Marc
