With the unexpected removal of the network-manager applet I assumed the machine would lose network access, and could not restore it due to network being a requirement for installing the now missing packages. For a lot of users, this would be as good as an unusable system. But I might have been a bit quick with that: is that only the applet that is removed? The core network-manager package itself is staying in place, so network access is preserved? If I was wrong about the loss of network access, then the severity should probably be no higher than important. PS: I added a comment with the bts command, but I notice it is not made really obvious. Even I, knowing it was there, took a little while to find it under the "full text" link next to the severity change notice. I€€€m probably no longer going to rely on that comment system. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEABYKAB0WIQSUsdxM90hewW6X7Jhja3j5HOuA2AUCaJ+QzAAKCRBja3j5HOuA 2IzHAP9uFnqq9H9uZXCyhprjDJy0bxG6wrCj/OK62JypllT8mAD9FEFGuLxBcciq n5npFa/LmU2p2hrcsmKdeV5kC8IArw4= =WFRu -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
