 You are correct but this has been the case for a while now, probably 
 since non-free firmware was included. For most people, this is not a 
 problem because they will install from a flash drive (or maybe now http 
 booting). Very few people now use CD-RW these days. 
  
 Fairly sure this has also been the case for a couple of years in Bookworm.
