 I noticed that some of the more popular groups have all the viagra/penis 
 ads etc. deleted, so Sympatico obviously doesn't monitor all groups as 
 closely...or at least doesn't pursue spammers to some groups such as 
 this one. 
  
 I'll ask them why this is the case and report back.
