 I assume that if you admit to the police that you know you were 
 speeding, it takes away their option to give you the benefit of a 
 doubt. You could come back at them and say that even though you 
 told the cop you were speeding, he did not give you a ticket. 
  
 The benefits of going faster are not taken into enough account. 
 Shortening a travel time from, say, 5 hours to 4 hours, is 
 significant. Everything moves faster. Everything gets done faster.
