| Subj: BEWARE WALMART VACUUM CLEANERS |
From: me@coldmail.com Bought a vacuum cleaner at Walmart, IIRC, it was a "Eureka" brand. Months later, when I needed replacement bags, Walmart had none, nor did they sell that model vacuum anymore. Local appliance parts store had no bags either, they said it was a USA model vacuum, that only Walmart (briefly) sold in Canada. So, I had to buy a new vacuum! Well, yeah, I know - fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me - but I bought ANOTHER vacuum from Walmart, this time a Bissel, but, thinking I'd beat the system I bought a BAGLESS one. Ha! Wasn't long before I needed parts, filters, and a belt - this thing EATS belts. Surprise! No parts at Walmart. Don't seem to sell this model anymore, either. If you're tempted to buy a vacuum at Walmart by their low price, BEWARE. Not much of a bargain, when a few weeks or months later, you need a bag or belt, or a filter, that costs a few dollars, and find you can't get them, and you have to BUY ANOTHER VACUUM! Hey, it's much less work, and more profitable, to stock and sell vacuums than vacuum parts. DON'T GET SCREWED BY WALMART! --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
