| Subj: Re: Retail store charges for using bank |
XPost: nf.general From: nospam@please.com well my only response is that places like the dollar store on razor thin margins accept interac, yet a place like a convenience store that works on larger markups won't! the money goes directly into their bank accounts which saves on the administration costs of counting and making deposits. i very rarely use interac for purchases less that $5 unless i am in a pinch, but if a store refuses to accept it without charging me a fee, i will not pay it. don't forget many of these conveniences we have nowadays HAVE come with a price. gimmee the good old days when I HAD time to wait in a bank lineup...because I HAD time to do other things as well! Think about that...... Clyde --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
