Excellent point, however I have twice contacted a "US only" seller,
disclosed fully who I was and offered a couple of ways to pay.
In both instances I received an "OK go ahead and bid from Canada anyway"
message.
In neither case did I win the auction but it was little problem to at least
ask.
I got a distinct impression that since I had taken the trouble to ask
politely, the sellers welcomed my interest!
My other alternative (which I also offered) was to have them ship/mail to
relatives of my wife in VA; the sellers responded that since that would
involve 'double shipping', it was unnecessary and they would ship to me
anyway, at minor additional cost.
So, if you don't ask?
