No Carter, what's going on here is that you have YOUR incoming
line length set at some 'onscreen' figure so that the line-feeds
that are buried in the incoming text are giving a line feed and
YOUR OWN line feeds are also. I assure you that if you don't set
your incoming line lengths that your screen will look much
neater.
To see what's going on let's say that an incoming block of text
is line fed at 60 and your own INCOMING line length is set at 70.
The first line of incoming text will wrap at 60 then YOUR line
feed will wrap the next line at 10 which will make the third line
only 50 characters long. This will continue and you'll end up
with a very uneven block of text on your screen.
If you had removed your own linefeeds then almost the whole block
would be wrapped at 60 characters...much much neater. :)
Mind you, the next poster may have his lines set to 80 which will
make his lines longer but they'll all still be even. Give it a
try, I'm betting that you'll like it.
