I guess there are administrative and disciplinary ones. One must
remember that the ombudsman concept was forced on the CF, probably by
the CHRC, and the present incumbent was put there because he was a buddy
of the then MND. He was allowed to pretty well write the rules of the
office to suit himself. He got to decide what problems he would deal
with. To be fair however I doubt that the CF legal system would, or
legally could, allow Mr. Marin to deal with legal problems. I suspect
that's a burr under Mr. Marin's saddle.
I suspect now that his good friend and mentor got himself fired from his
job as MND, Mr. Marin must be feeling a chill wind in the corridors of
101 Col By.
