Chris,
Gareth was never ATC in the true sense. He was/is an Air Weapons
Controller whereas I was an Air Traffic Controller (Tower - VFR & Radar
- IFR)for the first portion of my military career (12 years). I've been
working the Air Defence side of the career field since then (5 years).
We both now fly on E-3 AWACS. Gareth is flying with NATO and I'm flying
with the USAF.
I haven't been able to stay current gliding or private pilot wise since
I got married and the family grew.
I read about your Dad and Ross when started looking at the group again a
few months back. My condolences but I'm sure Ross, Crawford and your Dad
are watching us and smiling as always.
Keep in touch,
Randy
