Exactly these were instructors executing (poorly) an obviously premeditated
manoeuver.
I've had herbs fly base and final with the spoilers open and their hand came
off the handle. They finally clued in when i asked them why we were landing
in the trees. the spoilers went closed in a hurry.
PIC or not I would have had no problem slamming those things closed if I saw
the PIC was trying to kill me.
