 I would say yes you should have it... Not sure why you need to pick it up in 
 person though.  I am in a similar situation flying wise, but live close to 
 my club.  My instructor called one day and offered to mail me my Logbook and 
 PTR, I said no thanks as it gave me a good chance to go visit.  That visit
