| Subj: are there still flying careers? |
XPost: alt.aviation.jobs From: info@thisismyurl.com I'm at a point where my interest in flying as a career has begun to exceed my interest in just flying for fun. I know we all go through it but I'd curious if anybody would mind giving me some advice. Are there still careers in flight? I'm a Canadian and we've watched our major careers sack everybody they can, is this representative of the rest of the industry? What if I don't want to fly "big boys"? If I'm looking for work flying for regional careers, cargo, wilderness, etc .. where can I start doing research? and lastly, I know as the "new kid on the block" I'd better be ready to take a hit pay wise but what's reasonable? I don't mind working hard for my money but can I live on what I'd earn building my first 1,000 commercial hours? --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
