| Subj: CONDO Owners! A few questions... |
XPost: hfx.general, nb.general From: cmoonman@NOSPAMhotmail.com How much do you pay for condo fees per month? How many units in your condo? Do you have patios/decks? Does the condo fees go towards lawncare and snow removal? Does your fees cover everything except the interior? Or are you still responsible for your own roofs, steps, etc? Are your condos run by a company or by the owners themselves? Do you find that your condo fee (if it's high) has a negative stigma on selling your condo? ==================================================== I am asking because I am vice president of a condo association and we are having some difficulties with our finances and are looking to raise our fees. We currently pay $130/month and I am hearing other condos charge $200/month. Our current fees leave us with only ~$200 each month left over but the age of the units now means that things are starting to go (roofs, patios, steps, etc) and this $200 extra is not cutting it. Some of our owners are saying they do not want to raise fees because it will make selling the units harder with higher fees. Personally I think a run down condo would be harder to sell. Any other suggestions would be greatly apprieciated! Thanks for your time! --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
