 So a gun is on a list that the government holds. This stops spousal 
 violence how? 
  
 Are you really stating that registering long guns has reduced domestic 
 abuse? 
  
 Can you prove that rifles and shotguns were the "weapons of choice" in 
 domestic violence. I find that extremely hard to beleive. 
  
 You are right about eduction preventing rape though. Martial arts, 
 defensive techniques such as the Lioness Method for Rape prevention, 
 defensive firearms training and common sense can offer a lot of protection.
