Of the fifty five million shotshells fired from shotguns every year in
Canada very few are fired at human beings.
Of the hundreds of millions of .22 rimfire ammunition fired every
year, very few are fired at human beings.
Even fewer human beings are injured or killed by gunshot wounds in
Canada.
To put things in perspective. Non steroidal anti inflamatory
compounds (NSAIDS) kill over 1500 Canadians a year. Many of these
deaths occur while under the care of a physician. And the name of
this NSAID that kills more folks than gun shot, Aspirin...
Using the argument used to ban guns would also ban Aspirin...
Or you are safer from acts of violence by gun owners thatn you are
from taking medicines in your bathroom.
