This may be true in Toronto but it is not true across the country. In
Vancouver for example local police and RCMP say that more than 94% of
handguns confiscated come from the US.
Since Toronto has a different problem than Vancouver why is it not
preferably for Ontario to ban hand guns, like they've done with pit bulls,
and let the remaining provinces adjust as they see fit. Hand guns ownership
is a property right and is within provincial jurisdiction. The provinces
have the means of banning handguns on their own without federal intrusion.
