What can you do about it? do you have any idea what the disclaimer sign actually means? and how security in places like that work? (i'm guessing a huge no, otherwise you wouldn't keep coming up with crap like this) > Yup -- if I cared enough to shop at those stores, I'd push the point, but if > they are that willing to have those policies in the first place, and not be > willing to immediately set it aside to have my business at that time, then I'll > go elsewhere where the prices are just as low(in spite of, supposed, higher > incidence of shoplifters!) you DO care enough, because you still hold a grudge against them. And the reason the shoplifting is low enough to keep prices down is BECAUSE of the steps they take to reduce them - the still lose thousands monthly from theft - how much more would it be if people like you could wander in with your empty bags which mysteriously fill up as you leave? > I don't begrudge them that either, but I'll support the stores who don't annoy > me in the process of separating me from my money! you're what we back home call a born complainer. There is no such thinig for you as not being annoyed in the process of seperating you from your money, otherwise something so mundane as the walmart greeter wouldn't even be noticed by you, let alone annoy you. If you had nothing to complain about, you'd be the first one to complain at the lack of things to complain about. > Eventually, if enough of us refuse to shop at these stores, our money will > build up the competition into a threat to these ones! yeah, that'll happen people will STOP using walmart - i mean, all the stores in winnipeg hardly have anyone wandering around them buying stuff these days, don't they. I think they can cope without you, or the others that have something to hide from the greeters and security staff. --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05 * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2) |
