I only shop at Wal-Mart for about 6 to 8 grocery items that are priced lower
than anywhere else in my neighborhood. Those food and cleaning items are
all Canadian and US made quality products. All the other grocery outlets
charge 30 to over 100% more for the same identical merchandise. So who is
ripping off who? I spread my grocery shopping out over 4 stores, all
located close to where I live --IGA, Safeway, Giant Tiger and Wal-Mart..

These stores are aware of Wal-Mart's pricing I'm sure. If these other
merchants were really concerned about getting 100% of my business, they
would match their prices on these few items instead of offering extreme
specials for 1 or 2 things and then gouging me on the other stuff!.

I choose to shop at all these stores because each one offers me something
that the others don't. And that's how stores can compete with Wal-Mart.
Offer consumers something that they can't find elsewhere.
