 Yeah well the point he's trying to make is that the CinC is not 
 usually in combat or close enough to it to worry much. There are 
 exceptions however, Lieutenant General Lesley James McNair was 
 accidentally killed by US bombs while observing Operation COBRA on 25 
 July 1944, near St Lo in France. A proud tradition the USAF carries on 
 today in Afghanistan BTW.
