XPost: hfx.forsale, ns.forsale From: nottoday@thanks.anyway Hello there- well sir?, you need to know more points before you can truly think of such things....let me clarify for you. In my areas of interest, faiths are segregated, like we experienced here with Native Indians and African Canadians. Really, a Christian can not go to many hotels or restaurants there. A Christian is not usually able to hold a professional job, able only to work meanial jobs for $2. Children are discarded, especially girls. Christian families are too poor to care for their children so they end up homeless or dead. Ruling faith people have the opportunity for schooling, and more professional schooling. Example, if I went there to teach, I am welcome to teach warlord children, aristocratic families (meaning other than Christian) etc.... but most rural children do not get such opportunities. So you say keep religion out of orphanages and schools....how? Many of these people are already believers in the Christ and so it is appropriate someone who has the same interests and actually cares for them should be there to help them. When taught properly, the Faith, Christian, that is entry to God through Jesus, offers community - I know that's not always the case. So, yes, I would still be interested in presenting my joy to others, but no, it's not converting. My belief is you present the faith, the Spirit will convict, but the person will make a choice, they say no then that's that. They say yes, and we talk. Maybe thats not the way the faith was presented to you in the past, and certainly not the way a lot of history has involved the faith, but hopefully you will see there is a different approach at work here. Thank you kindly, James santos |
