 Hello all. 
  
 I would like to draw attention to a company called Northeastern Forestry 
 Inc. located in Fredericton N.B.. 
  
 Anyone who has worked there or still does, or may know somebody that does or 
 has, please contact me if you have any questions. 
  
 I worked there for the month of May of this year. I noticed that on my first 
 pay stub, that vacation pay was not listed as paid or accrued. I asked my 
 employer about this and he gave me several excuses. These next statements 
 are what I was told by my employer; 
  
 1) I don't have to pay that. Do I? 
 2) Well I can't pay that, cause I can't afford it. 
 3) I will have the accountant look into it. 
  
 Now after I received my second pay stub, there was still no evidence of 
 vacation pay. When I questioned my employer he told me " I asked the 
 accountant, and she said that I have never paid any vacation pay to anyone, 
 So why should I start now." 
  
  I told him that the law says that he has to pay it, and then he said that 
 he can't be forced to pay it. 
  
 Seeing that I wasn't getting anywhere, i reported him to labour standards. 
 They found him in violation of non payment of vacation pay. They told him to 
 pay up immediatly. 
  
 He told them that I still had some equipment of his and he wanted it back 
 before he would pay. (You can probably see the reason that I would hold onto 
 some stuff that I already had of his) . I dropped his stuff off at labour 
 standards, and he was going to leave me a cheque when He picked the stuff 
 up. I protested this because he had already bounced 2 expense cheques on me 
 in the past. 
  
 I was phones tand told that I could come and pick up my cheque. I went and 
 got it and then that afternoon after I had already deposited it, I got a 
 phone call saying that my former employer cancelled the cheque because I 
 still had some truck signs of his. (I never had any of these signs so he was 
 lieing). He probably figured that if I couldn't produce the signs then he 
 wouldn't have to pay. 
  
 He was told that he still had to pay and that they didn't want to hear about 
 anything else. 
  
 Now it still took him 5 more weeks to produce the money. 
  
 Here is the kicker. He delivered the entire $189.00 that I was owed entirely 
 in pennies. That is 378 rolls of pennies. What an Idiot. 
  
 What I would like is for people have worked for them or still do, to check 
 their paystubs and see if they were paid vacation pay. If not, then phone 
 labour standards in Fredericton and file a complaint. You will get the money 
 that is yours.
