 Doctor Who: The Face of Evil - Evolution Gone Wild (3.5/5) 
  
 Strap yourselves in, sci-fi fans, for a wild ride through 
 genetic tampering and rogue AI! "The Face of Evil" throws 
 the Doctor (Tom Baker) into a twisted experiment gone wrong. 
  
 On a primitive future Earth, a hidden colony descended from 
 astronauts is locked in conflict.  One faction, the Sevateem, 
 have embraced genetic engineering, creating a superior race. 
  But this utopia has a dark secret: Xoanon, a malevolent computer 
  that controls them all. 
  
 The ethical quandaries of eugenics are explored, 
 but not in a preachy way.  It's more "man playing God" with 
 a dash of "artificial intelligence gone rogue." 
 Tom Baker shines as the Doctor, grappling with the consequences 
 of humanity tampering with its own evolution. 
  
 The special effects are a bit dated by today's standards, 
 but the story's core ideas hold up.  If you enjoy classic Who's 
 charm and sci-fi that gets you thinking, check it out!
