 Doctor Who: The Beast Below (8/10) 
  
 "The Beast Below" is a standout episode from Series 5, offering a blend of 
 sci-fi thrills, social commentary, and character development. 
  
 Strengths: 
  
     Unique Setting: The futuristic space ship provides 
 a fascinating backdrop for the story. 
    
     Social Commentary: The episode subtly critiques social inequality 
 and the exploitation of the working class. 
       
     Strong Character Development: Amy Pond's character arc is further 
 developed, showcasing her bravery and compassion. 
          
     The Beast Itself: The titular beast is a visually 
 striking and tragic creature. 
  
 Weaknesses: 
  
     Pacing Issues: Some viewers may find the pacing uneven, 
 with the plot moving too quickly at times. 
             
     Underdeveloped Villain: The Smilers, while visually 
 interesting, lack depth as antagonists. 
  
 Overall, "The Beast Below" is a well-crafted episode with a strong message. 
 It effectively balances humour, horror, and heart, making 
 it a memorable entry in the Doctor Who series.
