I'm not exactly sure if his cause is any more than to keep things on topic
which may be confucian but may also be, as someone pointed to (Iforget who),
a natural law arising from the way of usenet.

One the other or both depending upon location. Rick lives in the "Bible
Belt". Being on the border with Canada and spending much time in TO and some
in Quebec City, I'd have to say that there is very little of such
proselytizing in comparison. That may be a reason for differences in
perspective.

I'm not sure if getting back is ricks point, but maybe.

Perhaps.
Most times, if one follows the off topic poster he will find an agendum,
particularly with the xian. For some, it is required to "spread the word".
New agers are a different breed and perhaps tolerance and explanation is a
better approach. But "Timmy from Wales" took new age and von Daniken alien
theories to a whole new level. He was certainly a troll of a different kind.
This may seem quite unfair but there are those here who, if they asked rick
to back off for a moment, because they think there is some legitimacy to the
perceived troll, rick would comply.
Such compliance may not last long ;-)
