 Hang on a second, didnt everybody have to say "Heil" to him?  Or do you 
 envisage him as standing in front of a mirror and saying it to himself? 
  
 Interesting thought ........ I expect it was shouted at him more and more as 
 time went on ...... 
  
 I studied this character fairly intensively in history, and there are a lot 
 of unusual facets to his personality.  Did you know he is reputed to have 
 been a vegetarian?  Also reputed to have had an unhappy love affair in his 
 youth which one might think soured his nature somewhat? 
  
 He also is reputed to have had lots of interesting and complicated medical 
 problems, and was a bit of a hypochondriac, or so it would appear.  There is 
 a very interesting book called something like "Hitlers Table Talk". 
 Apparently he used to like to discuss new ideas with a group over a meal!!!
