I've got to disagree with you here. Having thoughts about committing a 'sin' is normal. Calling them a sin is very likely to cause psychological distress, which could lead to an increased likelihood of committing the act in reality. Take the Sailor Suit Fetish in Japan, which I've heard described as Pseudo-Pedophila. I read about it from a link from Fark.com, apparently a lot of men in Japan have fantasies about underage girls, (there's a whole sector porn industry dedicated to this, (18+ year old girls dressed up in High School / Sailor Suit uniforms)) but they only have relationships with woman their own age. I remember one quote from the news story in which the man said, 'In the fantasy the girls represent innocence and exuberance, but in reality they are just immature.' However, the actual number of child molestation cases in Japan is actually very low when compared to the population size. Certainly lower than it is in Canada and the U.S. where that kind of porn would be (nearly) universally condemned. So having an outlet for destructive thoughts may help prevent destructive actions. > There are hundreds of others that have certain logics to them, but I can't > remember them all. (oh an interesting note, the Bible only says man may not > sleep with man, but it says nothing about woman sleeping with woman...) Lesbianism is mentioned once in the Bible, and not in a good way. Romans Chapter 1 Verse 26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
